Cavs GM LeBron James indicates team will not match offer sheet for Matthew Dellavedova
Matthew Dellavedova is a restricted free agent, which means the Cleveland Cavaliers have the chance to match any offer sheet he signs with another team. Based on a tweet from LeBron James, it seems like the Cavs will not be matching the offer Delly received from the Milwaukee Bucks.
Delly and the Bucks reportedly have agreed on a four-year, $38 million offer sheet. That’s a lot of money for a guy who played just 24.6 minutes per game last season and is viewed as a backup. Apparently LeBron agrees, as he’s already bid Dellavedova well on his journey in Milwaukee:
Congrats to my brother! @matthewdelly on his deal! Good luck in Milwaukee! Very deserving to you and your family. 1

First he gets a signature shoe deal, then he gets a new fat contract. Delly’s moving on up in the world.
