Celtics, Wizards reportedly emerge as frontrunners for Al Horford
Eligible free agent bachelor Al Horford is about to hand out his final rose.
According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Saturday, the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Horford with a final decision from the All-Star big man expected to come by Saturday night.

Horford, 30, became unlikely to return to the Hawks after they spent over $140 million on Friday signing Dwight Howard and re-upping Kent Bazemore.
The former Florida Gator would do well in Boston as the primary offensive option they have long coveted. Meanwhile, Washington already has fairly-sizable money committed to Marcin Gortat at the center position, but need talent anywhere they can get it after failing to qualify for the playoffs last year.
Wojnarowski adds that a max deal for Horford should he choose to leave Atlanta would be for four years and $113 million. The Hawks aren’t entirely out of the running yet, but, at this point, they would have to swing a series of unlikely trades (such as a move of Paul Millsap) to clear the cap space necessary to retain Horford.
