Chandler Parsons throws some shade at Rockets over Twitter

Chandler Parsons Mavs

Chandler Parsons threw some shade at his former team while hosting a Q&A over Twitter Tuesday.

Parson was drafted by the Houston Rockets and played with them his first three seasons in the league. The Dallas Mavericks signed him to a huge contract in the offseason (in a nightclub of all places), and the Rockets let him walk.

During his Twitter Q&A with fans, Parsons answered many questions. One particular tweet stood out:

Parsons was asked what the best thing is about being on the Mavs. His answer was “having a chance to really win a championship.”

Was that tweet strictly about his current Mavericks team or also an indirect shot at the Rockets? You could interpret it as a sign of how much Parsons believes in his current team (which ironically has the same 29-13 record as the Rockets), and you could also interpret it as him feeling like his Rockets team last year with Dwight Howard and James Harden was just a pretender. It depends on how you look at it.

Keep in mind that in other answers to questions, Parsons praised Harden for putting together an MVP season this year and said he still hangs out with Howard. Also recall that Parsons has some bitterness towards the Rockets over the way they treated him in free agency.
