Charles Barkley rips CNN for selling out with Donald Trump coverage
Charles Barkley said a lot of things on the air Thursday night that thousands of Americans are thinking, but most of those Americans don’t work for the Turner Broadcasting System.
The always-outspoken Barkley shared some of his thoughts on the upcoming election and spent a good portion of his rant bashing Donald Trump. He also unloaded on CNN for the way the network has covered the presidential candidates. CNN, like TNT, is a division of Turner.
“To be honest with you, CNN has done an awful job this election. An awful job,” Barkley said. “They have followed ratings and soundbites this entire cycle. I love CNN because they’re part of our company, but they’ve been kissing butt, chasing ratings — they’ve become like FOX News for the Republicans. They follow every single soundbite just to get ratings for these debates. It’s been sad and frustrating that our company has sold their soul for ratings.”
Barkley also referred to Trump’s loyal following as “losers” who are “afraid to look in the mirror and see why their lives suck.” You can hear all of his comments below:
