Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen championship bobblehead has no tattoos
Shortly after the Miami Heat defeated the San Antonio Spurs to win their second-straight championship, the NBA’s official store began selling apparel and memorabilia to help fans commemorate the victory of the team they walked out on early during Game 6. One of the items available for purchase is the Chris “Birdman” Andersen bobblehead that you see above. Notice anything wrong with it?
The hair looks okay, but something is missing. Oh, that’s right — Birdman probably has more tattoos than anyone in sports. If you’re going to completely ignore the ink, don’t bother making the bobblehead. You can’t have Birdman without tattoos. They go hand-in-hand.
We have seen bobbleheads that look nothing like the players they are designed after and others that even throw with the wrong hand, but this is just a blatant disregard for one of Birdman’s most identifiable characteristics. Who would pay $29.99 for that?
