Chris Duhon run over by driver in alleged road rage attack

FOX 35 News Orlando

Chris DuhonFree agent point guard Chris Duhon was hospitalized on Saturday night after allegedly being intentionally run over in a parking lot by a man with whom he had a verbal altercation in what police believe was a road rage incident.

According to FOX 35 Orlando, Duhon and his brother-in-law, Julio Hernandez, were walking through a level in a Downtown Orlando parking garage when a driver in a black Lexus started honking at them to get out of the way. The two parties exchanged words after the driver passed by and rolled down his window. After that, the driver allegedly got out of his car and argued face-to-face with Duhon.

Hernandez reportedly separated the two men, and he and Duhon kept walking while the driver got back in his car. As Duhon and Hernandez were about 20 feet away, the driver reportedly hit the accelerator in an attempt to run them over. Hernandez got out of the way, but Duhon was hit by the car, landed on the hood, and his head hit the windshield. Duhon was taken to the hospital in an ambulance but was able to walk out later that night.

FOX 35 says police are investigating the incident as an aggravated battery. Duhon could not remember anything about the incident when questioned by police. He plans to press charges if the driver is caught.
