Chris Paul wife Jada received death threat on Twitter, police investigating

Chris-Paul-wife-Jada

Police are currently searching for a person who threatened Jada Paul, the wife of Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul, on Twitter earlier this month.

TMZ reports that the LAPD is trying to locate someone who wrote the following on March 14:

“@CP3 if I knew where you lived I’d probably kill your wife and frame you for it. I watch dateline I get away with it.”

Clippers security saw the tweet and notified law enforcement. No arrests have been made as of this point.

As TMZ notes, Paul previously contacted police about an Instagram user who had been harassing him and his wife for more than a year. CP3 says that person never made any physical threats but constantly wrote “annoying comments,” including one in which he said Jada has a “Jay Leno chin.”

We know all too well that Twitter and other social media networks provide a forum for people to say idiotic things, but there’s a fine line between annoying and disturbing. Remember some of the stuff people wrote to Michigan’s punter a few months ago? There’s no place for that, just as there’s no place for threatening an athlete’s wife. We’re glad police are taking action.
