Cleveland bar promises to give Cavs free food for life if they win NBA Title

LeBron James Kevin Love

The Cleveland Cavaliers have some added incentive to bring home the NBA Title on Sunday night.

According to FOX 8 Cleveland’s Ann Domeck, Maha Metri, the owner of Cleveland’s Red Bar and Lounge, is offering Cavaliers players free food for life if they can beat the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 to win the championship.

Metri said the idea came to her on a whim when media asked her if she was going to do anything special beyond a watch party, so she decided to throw out the free food offer

“I’d love to have the players come in here but above and beyond that if they can bring us a championship, they’ll all get free food for life,” Metri said.

There are other ways for an athlete to get free food for life, of course. Two MLB players found out you can do it by going after someone who people feel had it coming. Of course, given Cleveland’s title drought, if the Cavs bring it home, this probably won’t be the only place in town they can eat free.
