Clippers did not give Kobe Bryant retirement gift
A sign of the rivalry, an honest mistake, or something else?
The Los Angeles Clippers did not give Kobe Bryant any sort of retirement gift after the two sides faced off for the final time in Bryant’s career.
Clippers did not give Kobe any retirement gifts, btw. A little unusual for that to happen on his farewell tour but not unprecedented.

Kind of strange, especially given the history between Bryant and the Clippers. One would have thought that they’d do at least a little something, but as is noted, it’s not completely unprecedented. Maybe they considered all those beatings that Kobe’s Lakers delivered the Clippers over the years to be enough of a gift on its own.
Of course, perhaps the Clippers simply took Bryant’s earlier request a little bit too literally. We’re guessing he won’t leave much sleep over it.
