DeMarcus Cousins thinks he’s intimidating because he’s ugly
DeMarcus Cousins is known for cutting an intimidating figure on the court, but off it, he can be witty and self-deprecating.
Thus, when asked why he always looks so menacing and unhappy when he’s playing, Cousins had a simple answer.
“I’m an ugly dude,” Cousins said at the All-Star Game, via Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee. “I really can’t help how my face looks. You’re just gonna have to take it. Some people like it, some people don’t. It’s just my face.
“If I was shorter, I don’t think I’d be intimidating,” Cousins continued. “They’d be like, ‘That’s a little ugly person.’ Because I’m big, intimidating.”
We personally don’t think Boogie is that ugly, but we’re not going to argue with him because he’s intimidating, you see.
Cousins is really quite funny and laid-back when he wants to be, a stark contrast to the rather difficult, petulant reputation he has for some of his on-court actions and off-court troubles with coaches. Nothing wrong with being a bit intimidating, though.
