DeMarcus Cousins suspended one game for forearm hit on Al Horford
When Kings center DeMarcus Cousins goes Jungle Boogie, things can get ugly. This week, the ugliness resulted in a suspension.
The NBA announced a one-game suspension for Cousins on Thursday (per Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports) after he struck Hawks center Al Horford with a forearm to the head in Sacramento’s 103-97 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old big man will serve the suspension during the Kings’ matchup against the Miami Heat on Thursday night.
Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated shared video of the play Cousins was suspended for.

Cousins, who is averaging 27.5 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game so far this year, looks like the best center in the league when he’s plugged in. But unfortunately, random outbursts like these continue to prove costly for Boogie and the Kings, even as he enters his sixth NBA season.
With all the other drama going down in Cowtown these days however, it’s preposterous (but also pretty accurate) to think that this is actually a fairly minor incident in the grand scheme of things for Sacramento this season.
