Dwyane Wade seemingly refutes reports about his future

Dwyane Wade Heat

Dwyane Wade has yet to decide whether or not he will play basketball next season, and it would appear he wants fans to ignore all of the reports swirling around about his future.

On Tuesday evening, a report on Twitter claimed Wade and the Miami Heat have agreed to a one-year deal and that Wade will retire following the 2018-19 season. Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype refuted that report on Wednesday and said there is “some doubt” that Wade and the Heat will be able to reach an agreement and that retirement may be the most likely option.

Having apparently heard enough of the reports about his decision, Wade seemed to respond with a tweet of his own on Wednesday afternoon:

Wade has already addressed rumors that he might play in China, noting that there is only one team in the NBA he is willing to play for next season. The 36-year-old has had his issues with Heat president Pat Riley in the past, but all indications are that the two have worked things out. If Wade wants to return to Miami for another season, a new contract shouldn’t be a major obstacle.
