Dwyane Wade responds to LeBron James’ comments about facing him
LeBron James caused a mini-stir on Wednesday with some premature comments about the possibility of facing off against former teammate and close friend Dwyane Wade in the Eastern Conference Finals. But none of that is distracting Wade from the task currently at hand against the Toronto Raptors in the second round.
Wade, whose Miami Heat defeated the Raptors in a Game 1 overtime thriller on Tuesday night, had the following locked-in response when asked about James’ comments (per Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald):
Wade said he won't talk about facing LeBron James "until we get four wins" against Toronto

The 34-year-old Wade is a seasoned veteran that has been here many times before, and he knows that there’s still a lot of work to be done getting three more wins against a formidable 56-win Raptors team (a task that will be all the more daunting with the news that Chris Bosh is officially out for the remainder of the playoffs).
While James’ comments have already ruffled some feathers in the Toronto locker room, Wade is trying his best to make sure the Heat don’t get sidetracked by them either. For as Wade, of all people, certainly knows, you can never count your chickens before they hatch, especially in the postseason.
