Giannis Antetokounmpo: Jabari Parker is not going anywhere
Giannis Antetokounmpo has a simple prediction for Milwaukee Bucks teammate Jabari Parker’s impending free agency: he stays.
During his exit interview Sunday after the Bucks’ season ended with a seven-game loss to the Boston Celtics in the first round, Antetokounmpo expressed confidence that nothing needed to be said about the future of Parker, who is due to be a restricted free agent this summer. He then went to say that Parker wasn’t going anywhere, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Matt Velazquez.
When asked about Jabari Parker’s pending restricted free agency, Giannis Antetokounmpo was totally confident in saying we didn’t need to talk about it. Said Parker’s not going anywhere and they’d be playing in the new arena together.

The 23-year-old Parker has played his entire NBA career with the Bucks since being drafted by them No. 2 overall in 2014. But his future is a bit of question mark after two ACL tears and the meteoric rise of Antetokoumpo have rendered him somewhat of a forgotten man in Milwaukee.
Antetokounmpo’s remarks here are at least reassuring though, especially since a recent report cast his supposed relationship with Parker in a negative light.
