Report: Gordon Hayward expected to make season debut Sunday
Gordon Hayward is expected to make his season debut on Sunday, according to a report.
ESPN’s Tim MacMahon shared the news about Hayward on Saturday, whose Utah Jazz are set to face the New York Knicks Sunday.
Hayward has been out since breaking a finger during the preseason on Oct. 7.
Initially projected for a mid-November return with a 4-6 week recovery timetable, Hayward was seen taking shots with both hands last week, which was a positive sign about his recovery. If he plays on Sunday, he will have returned on the early side of the projections, which will give a nice boost to the 3-3 Jazz.
Hayward averaged 19.7 points and five rebounds per game last season for Utah.
