Gregg Popovich jokes about banning Steve Kerr’s son from prep for Warriors
San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was in fine form ahead of Saturday’s playoff opener against the Golden State Warriors.
One rather amusing sideplot is the fact that Nick Kerr, son of Warriors coach Steve, works in the Spurs’ film room. Normally this is no issue, but with the two teams meeting in the playoffs, it provided plenty of joke fodder for Popovich.
Gregg Popovich, asked about Nick Kerr, Steve’s son, who works in the Spurs’ film room, and his presence as San Antonio prepped for this series: “we put it to a (mock) vote, and they all voted he had to leave the room.”

This isn’t the first time Popovich has made light of the situation. He’s on very good terms with Steve Kerr, so none of this will be taken seriously — just humorously.
