Heat fans loudly chant for Dwyane Wade (Video)
Heat fans made it clear they did not want to wait to see their beloved star in his return to Miami.
Among the flurry of activity by the Cavaliers on Thursday prior to the NBA’s trade deadline was the team trading Dwyane Wade to the Heat. The move marked the return of Wade to the franchise he began his career with and city he became synonymous with.
The Heat having a home game on Friday worked out perfectly. Wade was active, but did not start. That didn’t sit well with fans, who started a “We want Wade!” chant before the Heat scored their first points of the game.

Wade eventually entered the game at the 5:19 mark of the first quarter.
Wade may have been a member of the Cavaliers prior to the trade, but it’s apparent his heart was in Miami. LeBron James reportedly caught Wade checking Heat box scores.
Wade conceded that what LeBron said today is true: Wade’s heart and mind was always here in Miami. LeBron would even catch him checking Heat scores.

Wade has mended the relationships that appeared to be burned prior to his departure in 2016. That could lead to the three-time champion re-signing with the Heat after this season.
