Isaiah Thomas evaluating options for hip
Isaiah Thomas is taking time away from the Lakers to evaluate options for his ailing hip.
Thomas missed the Lakers’ game on Saturday against the Grizzlies due to soreness in the hip. He was also ruled out of the team’s game on Monday in Detroit against the Pistons. Prior to the game, the Lakers revealed Thomas left the team and headed to New York to evaluate options for his troublesome hip.

Thomas was shut down during last year’s Eastern Conference Finals as a result of the injured hip. Instead of surgery, Thomas opted for rehab and made his season debut on January 2. Thomas has admitted to playing at less than 100 percent this season. With the end of the season rapidly approaching, it would not be surprising if Thomas did not return in favor of addressing what has become a frustrating injury to deal with.
