Isaiah Thomas to play in Game 2, rejoin Celtics for Game 3
Isaiah Thomas will play through the emotional pain he is feeling yet again.
Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens confirmed on Tuesday that Thomas will play in Game 2 of the team’s playoff series against the Chicago Bulls later in the evening.
Thomas did play in Game 1 of the series, a day after learning that his younger sister had died in a car accident. Thomas played well, scoring 33 points despite the defeat. He was seen looking very caught up with emotions in the warmups prior to the game.
After Game 2, Thomas will fly to Washington for his sister’s funeral. He will then rejoin the team for Friday’s Game 3 in Chicago.
Celtics coach Brad Stevens said Isaiah Thomas, as of now, will play in Game 2, travel to Washington tomorrow and rejoin team in Chicago.
