Isaiah Thomas to play in Game 2, fly home after
Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas is planning to play in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said Monday that Thomas will join his teammates against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday and then fly home to be with his family in Washington.
Brad Stevens says Isaiah’s plan is to play tomorrow and then go to Tacoma Wednesday morning.

Thomas is dealing with the tragic death of his 22-year-old sister, who was involved in a car accident on Saturday afternoon. The MVP candidate was shown on TNT before Game 1 in tears on the sideline, but he somehow managed to score a team-high 33 points in a 106-102 loss on Sunday.
Stevens has said it will be up to Thomas to decide if he wants to remain with the team, and that will be the case throughout the entire series and beyond if the Celtics advance.
