Report: Jabari Parker not expected back until February at earliest

Jabari Parker

An early return in 2017-18 appears to be out of the question for Jabari Parker.

Zach Lowe of ESPN reported on Monday that the Milwaukee Bucks forward, who is currently recovering from his second left ACL tear in a little over two years, will likely be sidelined until February at the earliest.

The report is consistent with the timetable Parker, who was averaging career-highs in points (20.1), rebounds (6.2), and assists per game (2.8) last season before going down, was originally given. But it’s still a bit of a discouraging development for both the Bucks, who have high playoff aspirations heading into the new season, and the 22-year-old Parker, who may find his extension talks with the team further complicated by the news.
