Jabari Parker to make season debut for Bucks on Friday

Jabari Parker

The Milwaukee Bucks will be getting a major boost this week.

Jabari Parker has been medically cleared to play and plans to make his season debut on Friday, he and the team announced Monday.

“Jabari has worked extremely hard with our medical, performance and coaching staffs to get to this point,” said General Manager Jon Horst. “He’s passed all the tests and been cleared to return by our team physician Dr. William Raasch of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. Just as important, Jabari feels ready to play and we’re excited for his return to game action on Friday.”

Parker has been out since suffering a torn ACL last February. He will be making it back onto the court a little under a year after his injury.

The 2014 No. 2 overall pick has only played in 152 games because of injuries. He tore his ACL during his rookie season and then suffered another ACL tear last season. The 22-year-old forward was averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game last season prior to his injury.
