Report: Jamal Murray played all 82 games through sports hernia
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray likely won’t be getting many votes for Rookie of the Year, but what he apparently fought through this season was nothing short of astounding.
Nuggets insider Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports reports on Thursday that Murray played in all 82 games this year through a sports hernia.
How tough was #Nuggets rookie Jamal Murray? He played all 82 games this season through a sports hernia.

The 20-year-old Murray finished the season with 9.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 21.5 minutes per game. In recent years, sports hernias have sometimes proven to be season-ending injuries in the NBA. But for Murray, who has always left it all on the floor even since his college days, it’s a truly remarkable feat of physical and mental toughness.
