Over the weekend, James Harden agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Rockets. With the four-time all-star set to remain in Houston for the foreseeable future, he penned a message to Rockets fans.
On Monday, the team’s Twitter account posted a letter from Harden thanking fans for their support and reinforcing the organization has one goal in mind, a championship.

While the Rockets aren’t a “super-team” as Harden mentioned, they should be potent on the offensive end of the floor with Mike D’Antoni in town and the additions of Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon. Harden may be on the verge of his best season yet, which would be scary for the rest of the league because the 26-year-old is already among the more gifted scorers in the NBA.
As long as the hard work Harden referred to includes when the other team has the ball, an area D’Antonio teams typically don’t excel in, the Rockets should be be much improved this season and have a better chance of reaching their goal.
