Jeff Withey accused of domestic violence by ex-girlfriend Kennedy Summers
Things between Utah Jazz center Jeff Withey and his ex-girlfriend Kennedy Summers have been contentious for months, but their differences became far more serious this week.
Summers, a former Playboy Playmate of the Year, filed a report on Tuesday accusing Withey of multiple instances of domestic violence. Law enforcement sources told TMZ they are currently focusing on one alleged incident from 2016.
According to TMZ, police were called to an incident involving Withey and Summers last year but there were no arrests and no report was filed. Summers is said to have filed the report now because the Jazz are in Los Angeles — where she lives — playing the Clippers, and she is concerned for her safety.
“Given the ongoing circumstances, our client now needs to protect herself and come forward about everything so this doesn’t happen to her or others in the future,” a representative for Kennedy told TMZ.
Withey and Summers were engaged last year, but they broke up after Summers accused Withey of cheating and called him out on social media. Withey later sent a series of tweets claiming the allegations were baseless, which you can read here.
