Jimmy Butler posts his first tweets in years to take shots at Jazz
Some might say that Jimmy Butler is making the most of his time on the shelf.
The Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star swingman, who is currently sidelined with a meniscus injury in his right knee, posted his first tweets in years to take shots at the Utah Jazz, who played the Wolves on Friday night.
The game, which the Jazz won 116-108, got particularly chippy in the fourth quarter when Jeff Teague hip-checked Ricky Rubio into the sideline and was ejected for a flagrant-2 foul. In the aftermath, Jae Crowder had words for Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau as well, and the two got double-technicals.

In response, Butler, while noting that he hadn’t tweeted in years, actually seemed to praise Teague for the hip-check while also criticizing Rubio’s reaction. He then called out Crowder for getting into it with Thibodeau.
haven’t used Twitter in years. But yeah Jeff that’s what I like to see. Rubio getting up quick for no reason.

Jae get away from my coach. You don’t want no smoke either

Butler’s timeline indeed reveals that his last tweet was in 2016, so he must have been particularly hot to come out of hibernation and throw that shade at Utah. After all, he does have some history with the parties who were involved.
