Though he has been held to 22.8 minutes a night through the first 12 appearances of his rookie season, that hasn’t stopped the 22-year-old Embiid from conquering entire basketball civilizations. Embiid is averaging 18.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game despite those restrictions and is even hitting 1.3 three-pointers a night at a 50 (!!!) percent clip.
With Embiid moving phenomenally and looking like a divine being on both ends of the floor, this minutes increase is the latest step that he’s taking to fulfill the lofty visions that many have of his NBA future.
