Joel Embiid questions officiating after Game 3 loss
The Philadelphia 76ers are now down 0-3 to the Boston Celtics, and Joel Embiid can’t help but wonder if the officiating swung their fortunes a bit.
Speaking with reporters after the 101-98 overtime loss in Saturday’s Game 3, the Sixers star credited his matchup Al Horford for a big game but questioned how the Celtics center finished the game with zero fouls. Here is what Embiid had to say, according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald.
Embiid gave credit to Hirford, but…"I dont see how anyone can guard me and get zero fouls."

Embiid had a monster performance with 22 points and 19 rebounds on the afternoon. But he attempted just three free throws and fouled out of the game in overtime. However, the Celtics were called for more fouls than the Sixers as a whole (20 to 14) and shot fewer total free throws (14 to 18). As such, Philly had just as much reason to blame themselves as they did the officiating.
