Joel Embiid tweets he is a Laker, then deletes it

Joel Embiid teased Lakers fans and NBA fans by tweeting Wednesday night that he was a Laker before deleting the tweet and blaming a friend.

Here’s what was sent from Embiid’s Twitter account:

Less than 10 minutes later, Embiid deleted the tweet and sent this follow-up:

Most of the time when people sent tweets they regret and claim they were hacked, we know they’re lying. In this case, I actually believe Embiid. Heck, if I were one of his buddies, that would be a fun trick to pull.

Oh, and for the record, ESPN LA’s Ramona Shelburne says the Lakers would pass on Embiid if he were still available when they were picking at No. 7 overall because of concerns over his foot injury. So would I.
