Josh McRoberts elbows LeBron James in the throat (Video)

Josh-McRoberts-elbows-LeBronThe Charlotte Bobcats lost a tough game to the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, and they may have lost one of their players for Game 3 in the process. With Miami leading by three late in the fourth quarter, Josh McRoberts fouled LeBron James as he was taking the ball to the basket. And by fouled, we mean he elbowed LeBron right in the throat.

Replays made it seem obvious that McRoberts was not playing the ball, but he somehow avoided a flagrant foul. The play was not reviewed and James went on to hit one of his two free throws to help the Heat put the game away.

While McRoberts was not assessed a flagrant, the NBA can still review the play. If the league determines that McRoberts targeted LeBron above the shoulders and did not play the ball, he could be suspended for a game. That certainly looked like a dirty and dangerous play.
