Holiday, 26, has missed the first 11 games of the 2016-17 season caring for his ailing wife and newborn child. His return was said to be imminent last week.
The UCLA product will miss one more game on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic but should be able to give the 2-9 Pelicans a big-time lift once he shakes the rust off and reclaims his full responsibilities as their starting point guard.
