The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday via a last second shot by Tobia Harris. However, Sixers rookie K.J. McDaniels provided a consolation for fans in the form of this monster alley-oop over Maurice Harkless.
As soon as Tony Wroten crossed the half court stripe, you could see the play developing. Once McDaniels put his hand up, it was a near certainty a highlight was coming from a guy with athleticism to spare.
No matter how many angles it’s viewed from, the same thought prevails: That will easily be in the top handful of dunks when the season is over.
Philadelphia likely won’t be very good this season. However, they do have young talent on the roster like Nerlens Noel, McDaniels, and Michael Carter-Williams. There probably won’t be many wins, but there is the potential to be exciting.
