Report: Kawhi Leonard likely out for playoffs
San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard reportedly won’t be back for the playoffs.
According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, Leonard is likely to miss the remainder of the postseason as he continues rehabbing his quad injury in New York, where he is being treated by his medical team.
Leonard has progressed recently but is committed to returning to full health. According to Yahoo, his rehab program has been approved by the team’s medical staff as well.
As was previously reported, Leonard has not been cleared to return to game action by his team of doctors.
The lingering question is how the Spurs feel about this. Though their medical team is on board, there are some indicators that frustration has grown. This can put a lingering question to bed, though, even though it was seemingly answered numerous times before.
