Kevin Durant unloads on haters with latest shoe

Kevin Durant Warriors

Kevin Durant had some very cruel insults thrown his way when he decided to leave Oklahoma City and sign with the Golden State Warriors, and it’s safe to say the NBA Finals MVP is not taking the high road with his latest sneaker release.

On Tuesday, some photos of the new KD 10 shoes from Nike made their way around the internet. At first glance, it looks like the kicks just pay homage to the great season Durant and the Warriors had with inscriptions like “MVP” and “CHAMP.”

But when you look more closely at the underside of the sneakers, there are all kinds of messages for the haters.

If there was ever a pair of shoes that didn’t hold back, this is it. The words written on the bottom include “follower” and “snake” along with phrases like “can’t beat ’em join ’em.”

Durant has had no problem rubbing his success in the face of his critics this offseason. Just last month, Nike released a cupcake-themed sneaker that was an obvious reference to Russell Westbrook taking a shot at Durant by implying that he is soft. And that wasn’t the first time Durant played off the cupcake theme, as he also wore this hat shortly after the Warriors won a title.

From the way it seems, there’s no end in sight. Durant is determined to torch everyone who got in his ear over his decision to leave OKC.
