Kevin Garnett and Andrea Bargnani got into a mini skirmish during the fourth quarter of the New York Knicks’ whooping of the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night that led to double-technical fouls. A minute later, Bargnani received another technical foul and automatic ejection after trash-talking Garnett.
After the game, KG was mum on what Bargnani said to him. What was funny was the way he comically joked that he didn’t understand whatever Bargnani said because he doesn’t speak Italian:
Bargnani scored 16 points in 28 minutes in the 30-point win over the Nets, while KG only had 6 points and 6 rebounds in 20 minutes (which is on point with his season averages).
Why was Bargnani talking trash to Garnett? He was probably feeling it after driving past KG and yamming on the Nets in the first quarter of the game:
Bargnani and Garnett actually have some history. Two years ago, KG did his usual trash talk and Bargnani was his victim. Back then, Garnett was with the Celtics and Bargnani was with the Raptors. Now tables have turned and so has the trash talk cycle.Google+
