Klay Thompson thought he should have made even more three pointers
Klay Thompson set an NBA playoff record with eleven made three pointers in Saturday night’s clutch win against Oklahoma City. Impressive, right? Well, in Thompson’s mind, it was underwhelming.
In Thompson’s mind, he’d missed out on a chance to hit even more threes, feeling that he should have had at least 13.
Klay Thompson on his record-setting 11 threes: “I should’ve had at least 13. Missed some wide open ones early.”

Thompson didn’t actually find his shooting stroke until the second quarter. He made just one three in the first quarter and missed a few good looks, so he probably has a point. Still, the more important thing is his three point barrage – particularly his fourth quarter, where he went five of six from deep to deliver 19 crucial points – kept the Warriors alive in the series.
Even better news for Klay is that the stat sheet won’t make for difficult and confusing reading after this one.
