Report: Knicks, Carmelo Anthony pushing for trade by Monday
New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony badly wants out of New York, and seems to be escalating attempts to make it happen by Monday.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Saturday that Anthony is aggressively pushing to be traded with training camp just around the corner.

Anthony has wanted out all summer, but he hasn’t received his wish with the season looming.
David Aldridge of TNT further reports that the Knicks are eager to make things happen by the same date, so there appears to be a willingness on all sides to find a solution quickly. The Knicks, Aldridge reports, plan to engage both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder in trade talks about Anthony on Saturday.
It is evidence of Anthony’s eagerness to be traded that he has expanded his trade wishlist in an attempt to facilitate a move. Nothing seems to be close, but things could come together quickly if the Knicks find an interested party willing to pay up.
