The New York Knicks’ search for a new coach is turning to yet another former NBA All-Star.
According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Knicks are aiming to interview Miami Heat assistant Juwan Howard as soon as this weekend.
Another name on the Knicks head-coaching interview list, per league sources: Heat assistant Juwan Howard. They may meet as soon as this weekend.

Howard is best known for his 19-year NBA career, but he’s risen through the coaching ranks quickly. He’s been a Heat assistant since 2013, though this is the first time he’s been prominently linked to an NBA head coaching position. He was known for being a calming — and sometimes motivating — influence on the LeBron James-era Heat teams.
Howard may be facing an uphill battle to get the job, however, as a more experienced coach who seems to want the job just became available.
