Kobe Bryant on if he misses playing: ‘Not even a little bit’
Retirement is treating Kobe Bryant well, and he isn’t looking back.
Speaking at the launch of his latest signature Nike shoe on Tuesday, Bryant was asked if he missed playing.
“Not even a little bit,” said Bryant, per Ramona Shelburne of ESPN. “It’s strange to think a couple years ago, to be in this emotional space would be unfathomable. But I mean not even a smidge, which I’m very thankful for, because it’s made my transition seamless and I can really just watch and just enjoy the games.”
As you may have heard, the Black Mamba sailed off into the sunset last April with a fairy tale ending to his legendary 20-year career. Bryant’s retirement appears to be treating both him and the Los Angeles Lakers well, so perhaps the reality of an NBA without No. 24 isn’t such a bad thing after all.
