Kristaps Porzingis doing yoga as part of ACL rehab
As he recovers from his torn left ACL, Kristaps Porzingis is doing his best to stay balanced … quite literally.
In a video feature for The Players’ Tribune that ran on Wednesday, the New York Knicks star opened up about his rehab process and revealed that he taken on yoga as a part of it.
"I've seen the play a thousand times, I know exactly how it felt and I'm not shying away from it."@KPorzee tore his ACL on February 6th and is embracing the challenge of his recovery. pic.twitter.com/CXn5LSEOTh

“I implemented yoga a little bit,” said Porzingis in the feature. “I just kinda wanted to disconnect the mind and be solely focused on what I need to do, all those postures and all that and just focus on the breathing.
“That one hour, every time after I leave yoga, it’s like a fresh beginning,” he added. “I have been disconnected, no phone, no thinking about basketball or thinking about the injury, thinking about the leg. It’s just yoga that I can do.”
The 22-year-old Porzingis, who stands 7-foot-3, suffered the injury during a game against Milwaukee in February and missed the rest of the season.
While there’s been pessimism about his availability for next season, you can’t say that Porzingis isn’t attacking his rehab with purpose and an open mind.
