A rare thing happened on Friday night: LeBron James fouled out of a regular season game. According to what ESPN stated on their telecast, it was just the fourth time LeBron has fouled out of a regular season game during his career and first time since 2008.
There was one exception with this one — James’ picked up his sixth foul in the first overtime, not regulation. Since the game went to double-OT, James missed the second extra period.
The foul call on James was a legitimate one — he initiated contact with Shaun Livingston on the play in order to try gaining separation. His fifth foul came when he pushed Andrei Kirilenko in transition.
Without James and Dwyane Wade (who missed the game), the Heat were blown out in the second overtime period.Google+
