LeBron James enthuses about motorcycles, is questioned by team

LeBron James stare

LeBron James has a prized pair of motorcycles, and he says that someone with the team has taken notice.

James was speaking to GQ about his Harley Davidson and Can-Am Spider. He clarified that he does ride them himself and they’re not just for show. When asked what the team thinks of his bikes, he says the response is “what are you doing?”

Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com says it is unclear if anyone in the Cleveland front office objected to, or even knew of, James’s bike usage, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who associated with the team has spoken to him about his motorcycles. The questions are understandable, as the story notes that then-Browns tight end Kellen Winslow suffered injuries while doing stunts on his bike that significantly hindered his career. James, however, sounds like he drives his motorcycles more responsibly, and there is no reason to believe he is contractually prohibited from doing so.

It definitely makes sense that the Cavaliers would prefer it if James stay away from motorcycles altogether. As long as he’s riding safely and not recklessly, though, there’s not much wrong with it.
