LeBron James’ reaction to Dion Waiters missed shot is priceless

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be among the NBA’s most watched teams this season thanks to the combination of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. However, the way Dion Waiters meshes with them is a dynamic that will be monitored closely as well.

waiters-three-pointer-nuggetsLate in the fourth quarter Monday night’s 106-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets, Dion Waiters pulled up for (and missed) an open three-pointer with LeBron James calling for the ball in the low post. It was probably to the surprise of no one in the arena that Waiters attempted the shot, considering there weren’t any Nuggets close to him. James, based on his reaction, appeared to be quite perplexed with the way the situation unfolded, however.

Ironically, this isn’t the first time a similar moment has occurred between James and Waiters. During Cleveland’s game against the Bulls last month, Waiters did his best to let James know he was open, only to see LeBron have his shot blocked by Mike Dunleavy.

Considering some of the comments Waiters made about his role earlier this month, maybe this was his way of taking matters into his own hands.
