LeBron James, Russell Westbrook make top five of SI’s ‘Fashionable 50’
Sports and style are inextricably linked. If you’re a professional sports star who’s not named Kawhi Leonard, fans nowadays expect you to dress to the nines.
When you think of the best-dressed professional athletes in the world, who comes to mind? The first person has to be Russell Westbrook, right?
Indeed, Westbrook is the best-dressed athlete of 2017, according to Sports Illustrated’s annual Fashionable 50 list. A panel of influencers from the fashion industry worked together to determine the top 50.
It was no surprise that Westbrook, who was crowned MVP of this past NBA season, landed at No. 1. As for the rest of the list? Well, the top was dominated by the NBA. Four of the top 10 spots belonged to professional basketball players.
LeBron James clocked in at No. 5, Dwyane Wade at No. 7, and Andre Iguodala at No. 9. Below is the full top 20:
