Did LeBron James tell Dwyane Wade he might reunite with him? (Video)
If you enjoy reading rumors about how LeBron James might leave the Cleveland Cavaliers once again if the team doesn’t improve, you’ll really love this.
After the Cavs lost to the Miami Heat on Christmas Day, the NBA posted a highlight video on YouTube that features LeBron and Dwyane Wade battling back and forth throughout the game. At the end, the two close friends and former teammates embraced and had a quick chat.
On Wednesday, a Reddit user noticed something very interesting about the dialogue between LeBron and D-Wade. Just as the NBA’s ads and related videos popped up at the end, it sounded an awful lot like LeBron told Wade he may reunite with him. The juicy stuff starts at about the 2:42 mark of the video below:
Here’s what the Reddit user thought LeBron said, and it sure sounds like he or she is right.
“Like I said, if we aren’t better this year, we’re gonna re-unite again and do some bigger and better things, alright?”
Naturally, people are making a lot of LeBron’s (supposed) comments in the wake of this report from earlier this week.
As Bleacher Report’s Ethan J. Skolnick noted, James and Wade have hinted that they would like to do something together — perhaps a business venture — after their playing days are over.
@tback15 @Rizzmigizz I asked DW the other night and he wouldn't give it away. Just said "we're smart guys; we will think of something."

@tback15 @Rizzmigizz LeBron just told me to "think about it." I've thought about it. And all I can come up with is ownership.

@HPbasketball they have both been hinting, separately, at future collaboration 4 a while. I have taken it to mean off court. But video odd.

If LeBron really did say “if we aren’t better this year,” that would be an interesting way of alluding to post-career plans. It’s not like he’s going to retire after the season if the Cavs don’t improve.
All that said, we still don’t see LeBron leaving Cleveland again. With the way he recently spoke about David Blatt, the more likely scenario is the Cavs finding a new head coach this offseason.
