LeBron James ‘truly happy’ that Dwyane Wade is going home to Miami
The Cleveland Cavaliers made several trades prior to Thursday’s deadline, and one of them will allow Dwyane Wade to return home to Miami. While LeBron James and Wade have a close friendship, James insists he is happy about the move.
LeBron, who knows plenty about returning to the place where your career started, wrote on Instagram that he is “truly happy” for Wade.
“Truly happy for my brother @dwyanewade!!,” James said. “It’s how it’s suppose to be. Love you my guy!! #WadeCountyBack.”
After the Cavs acquired Jordan Clarkson from the Los Angeles Lakers and bolstered their backcourt depth with young players, it became clear that Wade wasn’t going to have much of a role going forward. Wade parted ways with the Heat on sour teams two years ago, but more recent reports have indicated that those issues have been addressed.
Wade seemed destined to end up back in Miami at some point. Given the way things have gone in Cleveland this season, it’s really no surprise that it happened sooner rather than later.
