Manu Ginobili unsure if he will play next season

San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili is questioned about his playing future annually, and as ever, he’s not offering any answers yet.

Ginobili said Wednesday that he hasn’t made any decisions on his playing career beyond the end of this season.

“I never said I was retiring,” Ginobili said, via Jeff McDonald of MySA. “I get this question maybe 40 times a season now. I never said I wasn’t or I was. I just wait and see.”

The 39-year-old is not that put off by the physical side of the game, saying that it’s more the mental part that will determine his plans.

“I think physically, I know what I’m going to be,” Ginobili said. “It’s not going to change much.”

It seems unlikely that Ginobili will be playing for as long as one of his teammates wants to, but Manu is giving Spurs fans hope of at least one more season on the court.
