Mavericks troll Dirk Nowitzki over his new haircut
Dirk Nowitzki got a haircut, and it did not go down well in the Dallas Mavericks locker room.
Nowitzki posted a picture of his new look to Twitter on Sunday night, with an added comment: his teammates have apparently taken to calling him Ellen DeGeneres.

When given the opportunity to pile on to the media, his teammates did so ruthlessly.
“It’s so bad,” Chandler Parsons said, via Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News. “He came in here, too, feeling himself, thinking that we were going to love it. Everybody, we had ballboys crushing him, from coaches to everybody on the team.
“I have a feeling he’s going to change it soon because he can’t take the beating we’re giving him.”
Zaza Pachulia, a victim of Nowitzki’s prodding over the size of his head earlier in the season, was all too happy to get in on the ribbing.
“He got called so many names, I can’t even tell you,” Pachulia said. “If I were him, I would just totally shave it, do something about it. Obviously we were the first ones who saw it, then the staff, coaches, ballboys, everybody was giving him a hard time.”

Dirk is definitely known for his self-depreciating humor, so it’s no surprise he’s taking this in stride. Now let’s see if he starts dancing after big plays.
