Yeah, little bit of a newsflash for you just in case you hadn’t heard. We’ve all seen many of MJ’s highlight reel dunks over his career. But there is one Henry shared on True Hoop that I had never before seen. If this were an MJ DVD, it would be in the special features section. When was the last time you saw 23 shatter a backboard in Italy?

That was pretty sick. Oh, the beauty of YouTube.

That’s probably another one of his dunks people say was ‘from the free throw line’ when it’s actually not
even close like all the others. I want to see a video of Wilt dunking from -behind- the line

That’s a ridiculous comment. Jordan jumped off two feet in this video and his body was sideways from takeoff, making it an even more impressive dunk. Do you realize the amount of athletic ability involved in that? He does this dunk with practically no momentum… one of the top 5 greatest dunks I have seen

I think the glass shower he gives the Italians might be the best part.

Ridiculous? We see dunks like that every night. Wilt Chamberlain could dunk his free throws and he didn’t take a full court running start. He was a record triple jumper and high jumper. Take Jordan, add 7 inches to his height, add more than that to his vertical, and you have Wilt. Even today the best dunkers have a tough time throwing it down from beyond the free throw line. For Wilt it was easy.

      from nba.com
During his career, his dominance precipitated many rules changes. These rules changed included widening the lane, instituting offensive goaltending and revising rules governing inbounding the ball and shooting free throws (Chamberlain would leap with the ball from behind the foul line to deposit the ball in the basket).

Never saw MJ break one before. Shaq pulling the entire structure down was the craziest thing I ever saw.
