The Los Angeles Lakers are enduring a miserable season on the court, but now it looks like their woes are spilling off it too.

According to Baxter Holmes of ESPN on Monday, guards Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson have been accused of sexually harassing two women in Hollywood on Sunday night.

Holmes reports that Alexis Jones and her 68-year-old mother were stopped in their vehicle at the intersection of Melrose and La Brea Ave. around 7:30 PM Sunday when a Jeep with four men pulled up alongside them and began making “vulgar, sexual gestures” towards the two of them.

Jones apparently took pictures of the men and posted them to Instagram, where two of them were soon identified by commenters as Young and Clarkson.

I pray these pics go viral because THIS is the problem with little boys. Five minutes ago, at the intersection of Melrose and La Bre here in LA, a jeep of four boys pulled up at a red light and started yelling and making the most disgustingly vulgar gestures at my mom and me. I rarely "rant" about things but this is the f%+#ing problem and the reason I've now dedicated my life to educating young men about respect, not just for women but for everyone. I'm angry. I'm insulted. I'm hurt. They were laughing hysterically until they realized I was filming them and immediately they panicked like the cowards they are. Thank you to all the real men out there who would never treat a mother and daughter that way… Speaking of, I'd love for this to make it back to their mothers!!! Help me find who these guys are!!! Let's see the power of social media and hold them accountable. I'd LOVE to have a candid conversation with them about sexual harassment not simply to shame them, but to understand their mentality so we can better educate young men to be respectful in the future. #littleboys #cowards #realmenrespectwomen #messedwiththewrongchick #wewillfindyou @iamthatgirl

What is ironic is that Jones is a women’s rights activist who co-founded the non-profit organization I AM THAT GIRL, which seeks to empower women. One of her programs was made specifically to address the issue of sexual abuse in athletics and she was even in recent talks with the NBA about adopting the program.

The Lakers are said to be investigating the matter with team spokesman John Black telling ESPN that they are taking the allegations “very seriously” but have no further comment at this time. Head coach Byron Scott has also apparently been made aware of the situation and addressed it with both players.

Additionally, Jones says that Black called her on Monday morning to apologize on behalf of the Lakers and that the possibility of her coming in to speak to the team about her message has been discussed.
